Tap One is a Black Clover tier game played at speed. Nine category slots spin through character cards at the same time, and each spin you can lock exactly one of them. Lock a strong card in the right category and it scores high; lock too early and you may watch a better card roll past in the next spin. The goal is the best possible lineup across all nine.

The categories cover the whole series: Raw Power, Black Bulls, Villain, 3 Leaf Grimoire User, Support Mage, Speed and Reflexes, Incarnation, Squad Captain and Orders. Your total is compared against a rank table, from D up to the coveted Rank S, which makes it a Black Clover quiz about judgment as much as knowledge.

How to Play Black Clover Tap One

When the game starts, every category shows a spinning reel of characters. After about two seconds the reels stop and each unlocked category shows one card. Tap a category to lock that card in. The locked slot stays put and the rest spin again, so you make nine picks over nine spins, and the last category takes whatever it lands on.

Each category ranks its characters from best to worst. The best card in a category is worth 100 points, the next 90, and so on in steps of ten, for a maximum of 900. When all nine are locked the score is calculated and your rank is shown: Rank S needs 860 or more, then A+, A, B+, B, C+, C and D.

You can play five games per day. Your best rank is saved and shown next to the board, and the results screen lists your nine picks with how each one placed.

Tips for Reaching Rank S

Lock early only when a card is obviously elite for its category. A character you would put near the top of that category in any fan debate is usually safe to take on spin one. A decent but not dominant card is usually worth passing, because you still have many spins left.

Keep the awkward categories for later only if they have many strong options. Squad Captain and Villain have deep pools, but Incarnation and Speed and Reflexes are narrower, and a weak forced pick there hurts. Watch which categories keep showing mediocre cards and lock them when a good one finally appears.

Remember the last pick is forced. By the final few spins, secure the category where a bad card would cost you the most, and leave the one where the whole pool is fairly even.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Tap One scored?

Each category ranks its characters. The best is worth 100 points and each step down is worth ten fewer, for a maximum of 900 across nine categories.

What score do I need for Rank S?

860 or more, which means almost every pick has to be the best or second-best card in its category.

Can I see the rankings before I play?

No. The rankings are kept on the server and scores are calculated there, so the answer key is never sent to your browser.

How many games can I play per day?

Five. The count resets each day.

Is Tap One a reflex game?

Partly. There is no timer on your choice once the reels stop, but you only get one lock per spin, so judging when to lock matters more than speed.
