Black Clover Impostor is a fast odd-one-out game. Five characters appear; four of them share a hidden trait and one does not. You are not told the trait, so you have to work it out from the faces alone and tap the impostor. Get it right and the next board appears immediately. The daily run lasts two minutes, and your score is simply how many impostors you catch.
The hidden themes are drawn from the whole series: Magic Knight squads, noble houses, the Elf Tribe, devils and devil hosts, squad captains, rulers, users of a given magic attribute, characters from a particular arc and the strongest characters in the story. It is a quick black clover quiz that rewards knowing the cast from more than one angle.
How to Play Black Clover Impostor
Look at the five portraits, decide what four of them have in common, and tap the one who does not fit. A correct pick adds a point and deals a new board straight away; there is no pause between rounds, and the two-minute clock keeps running across the whole run.
If you pick wrong, the game reveals the theme you missed, for example that the impostor is not a squad captain. If your spare life is still available, the clock stops and you can use it to continue the same run. Otherwise the run ends and your score and the daily leaderboard are shown.
The daily run is the same sequence of boards for every player, which keeps the leaderboard fair. After it, two Classic runs open up with no clock and one extra life each. They count toward your stats and challenges but not the leaderboard.
How to Spot Impostors Faster
Check the broad themes first. Gender, species and noble house are visible at a glance: four elves and a human, four women and a man, or four characters with a family name and one commoner. Only when nothing obvious stands out do you need to think about squads, arcs or magic.
Some themes are opposites of each other, such as Has a Noble Clan and No Clan (Commoners), and Human Magic Knights against the Elf Tribe. If the board looks mixed, ask which of the pair fits four of the five.
Speed matters more than perfection. A quick correct answer is worth the same point as a slow one, so if you are stuck on a board after a few seconds, trust your first read. Your spare life is there to cover a single guess.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the theme shown before I choose?
No. The theme stays hidden while you play and is only revealed when you make a mistake.
How is the score calculated?
One point for every impostor you find within the two-minute daily run.
What is the spare life?
Once per day you can recover from one mistake, either by continuing the run you were in or by starting a second daily run.
What are Classic runs?
Two extra runs per day without a clock, each with one extra life. They are practice runs and do not affect the leaderboard.
Can there be more than one right answer?
No. Each board is built so that exactly four characters match the theme and the fifth does not.
