How to Read the Emoji Clues
Emojis usually cover three layers: the character's magic, where they belong, and something about their personality or look. Water, fire, wind, light and plants tend to mean a magic attribute; animals often stand for a squad, like a bull, a lion or an eagle; and faces or objects hint at personality, such as a smug grin or a bottle of wine.
Colours help too. A white or silver circle pushes toward the Silver Eagles and House Silva, red toward the Crimson Lions and the Vermillions, gold and yellow toward the Golden Dawn. Combine the colour with the first object before you commit a guess.
Do not spend your first attempt on a random favourite. With one emoji showing, choose a character who fits that emoji and also rules out a big part of the cast, so that the next emoji confirms or narrows your theory.
