Generating puzzle...
Black Clover Connections gives you sixteen character portraits and one job: sort them into four groups of four. Each group shares something hidden, such as a squad, a noble house, a type of magic or a role in the story, and the board is built so that a few characters look like they fit more than one group. It is the most deliberate of the black clover games online on this site: no clock pressure, just careful thinking.
There is one puzzle per day and every player gets the same board in the same starting order, so the daily leaderboard compares how cleanly people solve it. The curated puzzles rotate so you see every board before any comes back.
How to Play Black Clover Connections
Tap four portraits to select them, then press Submit. If all four belong to the same hidden group, they lock together in a coloured band with the group's name shown, and the rest of the board closes up. If they do not, you lose one of your five lives and the selection stays so you can adjust it.
Two hints are available. Using one reveals the name and description of a group you have not found yet, without telling you which characters belong to it. The Shuffle button rearranges the remaining portraits, which is handy when the layout keeps suggesting the same wrong pattern. Clear drops your current selection.
Find all four groups to win; run out of lives and the game ends with the missing groups shown. You get one play per day, your mistakes and time are recorded, and signed-in players are ranked on the daily board.
Tips for Solving Connections
Look for the group that can only be one thing. Themes range from squads like the Black Bulls or Silver Eagles to noble houses, the Third Eye, magic types such as fire, water, light or spatial magic, rogue mages and former Wizard Kings. The trap is usually a character who fits two: a Silva who is also a squad captain, or a Black Bulls member whose magic matches another group.
Solve the most specific group first. A four-person family or a small elite unit has few possible members, while a broad theme like a magic type can absorb a stray. Locking the narrow group removes the decoys from the board and makes the broad one obvious.
Spend a hint before your third mistake, not after your fourth. A hint does not cost a life, and knowing one theme name early often untangles two groups at once.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. The board is chosen from the date, and even the starting tile order is shared. Only the Shuffle button is personal.
How many mistakes can I make?
Five. Each wrong submission costs one life, and the game ends when none are left.
What do the hints do?
Each of your two hints reveals the name and description of one unsolved group. It does not select the characters for you.
Can a character belong to two groups?
Many look like they could, and that is the point. Each portrait belongs to exactly one group in the solution.
When does a new puzzle appear?
At midnight UTC, together with the other Black Clover dailies on the site.
